Program note
blocks employs both “block chords” and the structural concept of Stravinsky’s “block form.” Composed in 2016 for the Beo String Quartet, this contemporary chamber work layers rock rhythms, contrasting textures, and harmonic interplay to create a lively and shifting soundscape.
