Texas Instruments Speak & Read
The classic bends, right out of Reed Ghazala's book.
My first keyboard, happy to give it a new lease on life. Found a few glitches and distortions, but I want to add a reset button and find a place for a pitch-shift pot.
Left red button adds momentary detuning. Top two buttons create crazy low distorted melodic riffs.
The Clapper - unknown thrift store find
The switches I added play different pulse trains. I actually royally messed this one up, so only two of the main buttons still function. It does have a cool random LED pattern at the top, so it's fun to have around for ambience.
Atari Punk Console
Classic beginner's noise circuit, in the classic Altoids tin.
Arduino-based step sequencer
Fun little sequencer, based on the Instructable by TobaTobias. The housing is from a RadioShack ripoff of the TI Speak & ___ series, which basically just makes one beep and was largely unusable otherwise. I might add a panel where the Arduino is exposed.
Texas Instruments Speak & Spell
The classic bends, right out of Reed Ghazala's book. Bent for a friend.
Texas Instruments Speak & Music
A difficult bend, as most functionality is within the IC's. Found a glitch (green), an interrupter (yellow), a distortion/glitch (leftmost toggle), and a few repeated tones (other toggles). Added a reset (black) and a green LED. Bent for a friend.
My first circuit bend: an unknown thrift store find.
Found a few glitches and distortions, as demonstrated.
